Martyr Capt Bahadur Singh Samiti demands ex gratia to Uri Martyrs at par with other states | | | Early Times Report Vijaypur Sept. 22: Large number of youth under leadership of Avinash Choudhary Social Activists and Press and Publicity Secretary of Saheed Capitan Bahadur Singh 'VRC' Samark Samiti organized meeting in which the members paid rich floral tributes to Uri Terror Attack Martyrs and demanded ex gratia to Uri Martyrs to be paid at par with other states. While interacting with the media persons on this occasion, the Avinash Choudhary said that in a bid to remember the valour and courage of soldiers of Indian Army, the youth have observed silence and also paid rich floral tributes to all the 18 Army Soldiers who attained martyrdom during Uri Attack. Referring to ex-gratia to Next of Kin of deceased, the Mr Chowdhary said it is clear discrimination with son of soils who sacrifices their lives for the save of Nation but their families have been deprived of any monetary relief. He said ironically the J&K Govt yet has not announced any relief to the bereaved families i.e families of Sub Karnail Singh and Hav Ravi Paul whereas the other State Govt. have granted relief for the martyrs to the tune of Rs. 10 - 20 lakh and also provided govt. job to one of the family member. Recalling from the past, speakers said Sepoy Mool Raj of Jakh Chandla and Sub Ram Singh of village Swankha Morh too have sacrifices their lives while combating militants during Pathankot and Manipur terror attacks but the bereaved families have met with similar fate and yet have been denied of ex-gratia. Speakers urged state government why it is silent and also questioned opposition why they are not putting demand to this Chief Minister of J&K State in this regard. Makhnu Slathia, Bobi Singh, Aju Malik, and Banu Slathia were also present in this meeting. |
