Sangarsh demands installation of CCTV cameras

Rajouri, Sep 22: Sangarsh reitreated the demand of installation of CCTV cameras at Rajouri and appealed for restoration of peace and communal harmony in the area. Interacting with media persons the Vice President of Sangarsh- A civic movement for Justice, Equality, Peace, Prosperity and Brotherhood Adv. Shokat Ali has reiterated the demand of installation of CCTV camera at the main points of Rajouri town so that vigil is kept on the anti-social elements. He said that from the last one year we again and again saying for the installation of the CCTV camera at the important junction of Raojuri towns but no heed has been given in this regard by the district administration. Whenever any untoward incident occurs, the administration and our political representatives make numbers of promises but after few days they forget their promises and leave the common people at its own fate. He said that the recent incident in which the public property is destroyed by some miscreants is the result of this negligence as if the cameras were there; it could be easy for the administration to curb it. Shokat Ali said that we are giving a one month ultimatum to the district administration for the installation of CCTV cameras and if the demand has not been meet then the movement shall be force to go among the common man and student community of the area for making a public campaign against this neglected attitude of the administration. Hemakant Sharma, District Coordinator of Sangarsh appealed to the general public to maintain the communal harmony of the area. He said that our Peer Panjal region is famous for peace and communal brotherhood and we have to maintain the same so that anti-social and anti-national elements do not dare to take the benefit. Whereas District Observer Adv. Israr Mirza suggested that there is a need to keep the record of the persons hailing from outside state.
