Low voltage running temperatures high in Samba | | | Neeraj Badyal Early Times Report
Samba, Sept 22: Low voltage in this hot and sultry summer has made life miserable for people living in many parts of Samba town even as they are sweating their way. Residents of several localities in the Samba town including Link road, Border road are complaining of low voltage. As if sweating through the soaring temperature was not enough, now people have to face the brunt of low voltage. The cooler do not work even with a double booster in low voltage and ceiling fans run at a slow speed. Several shopkeepers have installed air conditioner in their shops but few have registered in PDD and are openly flouting norms. There is an increased usage of ACs in the shops to beat the heat during full day. The residents are faced with sleepless night due to low voltage problem. Past one month, low voltage and fluctuation in routine power eventually reached a point where the fan spun at a very low speed. Shopkeepers are also facing lot of problems due to the low voltage. But the PDD officers are in deep slumber. The low voltage is main problem in link road and adjoining areas of Samba for past one month, said Dalip Singh, a shopkeeper. |
