Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 1 IN WHAT could be defined as a shocking news, a teenaged girl has been reportedly raped by a policeman and his hotelier friend, here last night. Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a head constable and a hotelier following a complaint by the victim that she was raped by the duo in the police lines at Gandhi Nagar, last night, sources have revealed. According to the sources, the 17 year old girl Malika Kaur (name changed) from Rajouri had come to Jammu yesterday to seek admission in a higher secondary school and checked-in at a local hotel in Jewel Chowk. The owner of the hotel, identified as Ramesh finding the girl alone invited his friend Sahbeer a head constable and the two forcibly took the girl to the Police Lines. The sources informed that the girl, in his complaint has mentioned that she was raped by the duo in Sahbooer’s Police Lines quarter. Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 1 Putting all speculations to rest, the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has made amply clear that there is no question of holding assembly elections before September this year. It was widely believed in the political circles that state may go elections prior to schedule and preparations among the all parties are in a full swing. The exact timing of elections have though remained a guess work. "Election will be held anytime after September," Azad told reporters in New Delhi on the sidelines of a conference on terrorism.
