Jammu, Sept 28: The enforcement staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer of Jammu Municipal Corporation today sealed the premises of Karan Singh Chib at 9 B/B Extn Gandhi Nagar here.
In a statement a spokesperson of the JMC said already the owner of the building was booked under Control of Building Operation Act, 1988 and violation of the status quo order of J&K Special Tribunal. "The team also sealed the premises of Lal Chand at Gandhi Nagar, due to violation of the land use. Further continuing the drive against the unauthorized construction, demolition of the ongoing construction of Coffee House at 20 C/C Gandhi Nagar was also undertaken," he said.
Besides, he said, team also removed the encroachments from Auqaf Market, Green Belt Park Area, especially the footpaths/pavements which was being encroached by the shopkeepers/vendors for keeping goods/articles causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and consequently obstructing the free flow of vehicular traffic.
The JMC has again appealed to the people to refrain from making encroachments and unauthorized constructions. |
