Jammu, Sept 28: A deputation of All Jammu and Kashmir SRTC Employees Association (AJKEA) today called on Minister for Transport, Choudhary Ramzan to project their long pending demands.
Vice president of National Transport and Workers Federation Amrik Singh Sasan said that point regarding increase of DA to SRTC employees was discussed and the minister concern announced the increase DA by 20% of the pay and approved the enhancement of trip money and night halt of Bus and truck routes.
He further said that several other points were recommended for discussion including regularization of contractual employees who have completed 8 years of service, SRO-43, increase in limit of gratuity from 2 ½ to 10 lakhs, release of pending COLA, release of 6th Pay Commission arrears, up gradation of all depots etc.
Those who were present included Pawan Sharma, Chaman Raina, Rajan Singh, Subhash Singh, Uttam Singh Charak and Harbhajan Singh. |
