| Omar creating confusion in minds of people, appeasing separatists | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 28: BJP has taken strong exception to the views expressed by Omar Abdullah to the visiting delegation of EU Ambassadors that the integration of Jammu & Kashmir with the rest of India is under question mark and that there was only accession but no merger. In a statement issue here, BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma said that whatever Chief Minister is saying is contrary to the provisions of the Constitution of India as well as that of J&K. He said that the document signed by Maharaja Hari Singh, while opting for India and not Pakistan, is the same which was signed by other more 550 princely states. Jugal Kishore Sharma said that whatever documents were signed by Maharaja were similar that other princely states signed and therefore by making such mischievous observations, Omar Abdullah is trying to create confusion in the minds of the people and appease the separatist. Jugal Kishore Sharma further added that BJP is committed to uphold the national integrity and will continue to fight for more close integration of J&K with India by seeking removal of Article-370, abolition of state constitution and state flag. Jugal Kishore also said that if Omar Abdullah wants, he is welcome to seek legal opinion on the issue. He also said that as constitutionally sworn-in Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is not expected to make such irresponsible statements. |
