Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 28: A high voltage drama was witnessed at Emergency ward of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), when irritated over non-payment of their wages, the Safaikaramcharis dumped garbage and wastage of hospital in Emergency ward, this morning. The safaikaramcharis alleged that the hospital management was deliberately ignoring their plights. "We have been living on mercy of hospital management, we never receive, our wages timely, since we joined our duty", said, protesting Safaikaramchari. He further said, "We have raised our issue of pending salary before the administration but nothing has been done so far. "We are performing our routine duties, when 15-20 Safaikaramcharis dumped wastage in emergency ward and also chanted slogans over non-payment of their wages for last three months", said an doctor whishing anonymity. He said that the Safaikaramcharis were working with dedication even with salary for three months, but owning to callousness of hospital management today they showed their anger. "The hospital management should immediately release pending salary of Safaikaramcharis as early as possible, vis-à-vis they should frame a policy for timely disbursement of Safaikaramcharis", he opined. |
