| PHE casual labourers, daily wagers demand regularization | | | Early Times Report
BHADERWAH, Sept 28: Aggrieved over non fulfillment of demands, the ITI trained Casual labourers and daily wagers working in PHE department for the last several years have warned to take to the streets if their grievances were not addressed forthwith included regularization and release of wages on monthly basis
In a high level meeting held here in the premises of office of AEE, PHE the casual labourers alleged that despite working as daily wagers in the department for more than 8 to 10 years, the Government has failed to regularize them.
They threatened that PHE daily wagers would go on an indefinite strike if their demands were not met immediately. "We are casual labour with PHE Department from last many years and are waiting our regularization. We are not getting our salaries in time. This year we got our salary of two months only and rest is still pending. Tell us how we can feed our children", said PHE daily wagers while speaking on the occasion and alleged that they were exploited time and again and the politicians have generated a vote bank out of them.
On the occasion, ITI trained Casual Labourers /daily wagers working in PHE department Bhaderwah also constituted a body which will work for the welfare of the workers. The office bearers include Mohd Sajad Ganai as President, Abdul Hafiz Ganai as Vice President, Nirmal Kishore Kotwal as Convenor , Shaizad Ahmed as Spokesman and Bhagat Singh as Secretary. |
