GDC Rajouri celebrates World AIDS Day 12/1/2014 10:35:53 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 1: Government Degree College Rajouri in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir AIDS Control Society today celebrates World Aids Day. According to press release, during the function, a symposium had organized on "AIDS Awareness" . NSS Program Officers of the college Prof. Abdul Karim and Dr. Nahim-Un-Nisa emphasized the importance of knowing about AIDS for keeping one self away from this dreaded disease. During the programme seven participants of the College deliberated on the causes and consequences of AIDS and made aware the student as to how can everyone play an active role in propagation of AIDS awareness among the common masses of the nation and entire world. Dr. J. A. Qazi Principal of the College and Chairman of Red Ribbon Club of GDC Rajouri was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address he congratulated all the participants of the programme for their active involvement in the programme. HOD Zoology Prof. Mangat ram Sharma delivered a comprehensive talk regarding AIDS. In the competition, Aamir Amin, Paramveer Singh and Priya Sharma bagged 1st , 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
