Jammu, Dec 1: Parents of a minor girl have levelled serious allegations against Ghagwal police station SHO for shielding the kidnappers of their daughter. They said their 12-year-old daughter was kidnapped by 12 persons from their residence at Jaatwal Sangaali but police neither took any cognizance of the matter nor bothered to register an FIR. The victim's father Mohammad Abdul alleged that 12 persons - Younous, son of Mauslam, Muslam, son of Doda,Shoukat, son of Muslam, Azee, son of Muslam, Mushtaq, son of Haider, Saddiq, son of Haider,Bal, son of Fareed, Swaraj, son of Gaami, Meein, son of Yousaf, Khaleel, son of Bhoob ,Jaleel, son of Yousaf, and Misiri, son of Zamdin kidnapped his daughter from their residence after tying their sons who were trying to rescue their sister. He said that he was not present at home when the incident took place. After knowing about the incident, he rushed to police station, Ghagwal, and lodged a complaint that his minor daughter had been kidnapped. The SHO took no cognizance of my complaint, he alleged. He then moved court which directed police to register an FIR. Though the FIR was lodged by police under different sections. He alleged that police were in hand-in-glove with the accused. In a press conference, he appealed DGP K Rajendera, IGP, Jammu, Rajesh Kumar, DIG, Jammu- Kathua range, Shakeel Beigh and SSP, Samba, Anil Magotra to get his minor girl rescued from the clutches of the criminals. A senior police officer, when contacted, said that there was old rivalry between the complainant and the alleged accused as the persons who are alleged to be kidnappers had earlier lodged an FIR against the complainants at Jujjar Kotli police station. He said police were investigating the authenticity of the complaint. |
