JAMMU, Dec 1: In continuation of program for observation of world Aids day, Jammu and Kahmir Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM) today organized 'Aids Walk' from MAM stadium to Rajinder Park.
According to press release, the main aim to organizes walk to generate awareness among general masses about HIV/ AIDS. Since the theme of world AIDS day2014 suggests 'Focus partner, achieve free generation', Placecards and banners having message on the theme were distributed among the general population. The world Aids Day Program initiated with relief distribution for people living HIV by project director JKSACS.
Moe than 200 people participated in the AIDS walk both from PLHIV and general masses. Students from paramedical college government Auxiliary Medical Training School, Jammu were also participated in rally. Head of Department, Psychology University of Jammu Dr. Aarti Bakshi and Pallavi Singh Project Director, JKSPYM flag off the rally and congratulated the participants for taking part in this noble cause. |
