Jammu, Dec 1: Red Cross and NSS Units of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Region, Jammu, PG Department of Blood Transfusion and Medicines, GMC, Jammu and J&K State Aid Control Society, Jammu organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp here in College on the eve of World Aids Day.
According to press release, Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal, GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp. While speaking on the occasion lauded the gesture of Red Cross Unit and NSS Unit of the College who come forward and donated the Blood for Humanitarian Cause.
RC Puri, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region Jammu threw light on the importance of Voluntary Blood Donation and appreciated the spirit of discipline, devotion, dedication and enthusiasm of the Red Cross and NSS Units of the College. More than 15 Units of Blood was donated by the students of the College. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Prof. Ashiq Malik, Incharge Red Cross Unit of the College. |
