Jammu, Dec 1: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) organized its first Old Students' Day at the Temporary Academic Block (Sainik Colony) today.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Devanand, Vice-Chancellor, CUJ, in his address, 'synonymied the old students with 'Kuldeepaks' as they, like the lamp of the family, enlighten the institution being the reflection of the University.
He disclosed that in most of the successful and famous prestigious institutions, the alumni are involved in the decision making processes to make these more progressive and meaningful. The CUJ intends to work on similar lines to be one of the best institutions for its contributions to the society.
Prof. Deepak Raj Gupta, the Academic Administrator delivered the Welcome Address and Prof. NR Sharma, Dean Students Welfare extended the Vote of Thanks to the Deans of different schools, University Officers, Heads of the Departments, faculty, staff and students. |
