Rajouri, Dec 1 : Police today seized government ration, which was being taken secretly in a load carrier for its sale in the black market, at Darhal near here. Acting on a specific input, cops led by Darhal police station SHO IrfanWai intercepted a load carrier (JK11/7150) near Darhal Market. During its checking, they found it loaded with government ration, including 150 kilograms of rice and 100 kilograms of flour, police sources said. During questioning, driver Danish Hussain of Dodaj allegedly told police that the consignment, which belonged to the load carrier's owner Mohiduin, was being taken for its sale in the black market, the sources added. Sources said a police team had been rushed to Dodaj to apprehend the load carrier owner. Police had registered a case in this connection under section 3/7 of Essential Commodities Act. |
