Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 15: The recent release of his aides including a close family member from detention has emboldened a senior politician who was unceremoniously ousted from the Peoples Democratic Party a few months ago. Sources said the former PDP leader who is also a businessman is scheduled to hold a mega celebration party in connection with the release of his aides and that the time was yet to decided upon as most of his friends are not away from Kashmir for the last around two months. Two of his aides were released from detention at the Centaur Hotel in Srinagar on October 10. Sources said the former minister looks ahead to host the party in Mumbai in the coming days. "He had promised that some of his friends in the union government would also be attending the party, apart from some other big names," said a source privy to the development. Sources said a Kashmiri hotelier, who is part of the ousted leader's coterie, will be flying to the financial capital days ahead of the scheduled party for preparations on the ground. Early Times Report srinagar, Oct 15: SMS services were withdrawn as a "precautionary measure" hours after the government restored post-paid mobile connections in Kashmir, officials said on Tuesday. Mobile phone services for post-paid subscribers resumed in Kashmir after 72 days on Monday noon, but without any internet facilities. By about 5 PM, SMS services had been suspended too, dulling the euphoria of about 40 lakh subscribers delighted at the prospect of their phones coming back to life, officials said.
