Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 22: Even as the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into the two union territories including Ladakh will come into force on October 31, 2019, some of the politicians in Kashmir are dreaming of getting an offer to be sworn in as the Lieutenant Governor of J&K. Sources said at least three politicians are dreaming of getting the offer and that their close aides and party cadres have been spreading a word in this regard. Interestingly while two of them are presently under detention, the third one, who was not put under detention, is more optimistic of getting the offer. Sources said this politician, who was ousted from the Peoples Democratic Party, had been "hopeful" of getting the offer as he has been rubbing shoulders with some leaders from the Bharatiya Janta Party. Sources said what has even risen his hope is the release of his close aides from detention. "The group thinks that the Lt Governor will be their leader," said an insider. Early Times Report srinagar, Oct 22: Former Chief Minister and National Conference patron, Dr Farooq Abdullah was detained under public safety act (PSA) in September for his potential to disturb order. He was lodged at his Gupkar residence which was declared a sub-jail by the government. The government order, however, did not make a mention about Dr Farooq's jailor. Agencies NEW DELHI, Oct 22: Government employees of the new Union territories-Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh-will get salaries and other benefits as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission from October 31, the Union Home Ministry said on Tuesday. The Home Ministry has issued the necessary orders in this regard.
