Early Times Report Jammu, July 2: Even as the wedding season is at its peak in Kashmir and use of single use disposable items continues to be on rise despite a ban, the government has started raids in Jammu province. The people of Jammu have said if no such action is initiated in Kashmir where such disposable items made of plastic are used "lavishly with impunity", why is the business fraternity of Jammu being taken hostage. The business community of Jammu said the authorities in Kashmir don't even dare to inspect business outlets in the valley for violation of norms but that Jammu was being taken for a ride. As per an official handout, continuing its drive against the single use disposable cutlery items banned vide SRO-231, Anti polythene squad of the J&K SPCB, Jammu carried out raid on the industrial unit manufacturing single use disposable items.
