Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 19: Principal of Government Medical College Jammu writing a letter to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Financial Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Duloo, offering voluntary retirement from the services was nothing more than a “stunt aimed at diverting the attention from the real issues”, the GMC staffers have alleged. An insider told Early Times that the GMC Principal “played a victim card” to divert attention from the real issues and escape from the “current mismanagement and lack of competence on his part” not only to run his parent department of general surgery but also the GMC Jammu. It’s in place to mention here that the GMC Jammu at present stands cornered due to its alleged failure to provide proper care to COVID-19 patients in the region. “The GMC Principal himself made his own administrative incompetence public by declaring that it is getting hard for him to run department of General Surgery while remaining Principal GMC Jammu and demanded next senior faculty to be appointed as HOD surgery,” the insider said. ...

Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 19: The Government on Saturday informed that 1492 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 831 from Jammu division and 661 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 62533.
