KPC hails Supreme Court decision | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 26: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) appreciated and applauded the decision of supreme court of India to examine the constitutional validity of presidential order " the Article 370" of the constitution of India which grants the special status to the state of J&K and for directing the centre Govt.to explain the special status to the state of J&K KPC also urged the political leadership of the country to end the constitutional disparity imposed over the state of J&K through Article 370 which has created uncertainty, chaos and keeping J&K away from the rest of India. Addressing his party activists and supporters at south Dwarka, New Delhi today Kundan Kashmiri KPC chief stated that Article 370 was a temporary phase meant to curb the powers of the centre and satisfy the ego and adamant attitude of Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah. He said present uncertainty, chaos and political anarchy is out come of Article 370 for which all the three regions of the state are suffering very badly and has benefited a few families of the J&K state. He said it is high and appropriate time for the centre Govt. to amend Article 370 in the Indian Parliament and extend the complete jurisdiction of Indian constitution with its fundamental rights to J&K state.This abrogation of article 370 will immediately benefit all the refugees of the state and in particular pave the way for the return of displaced KP,s to the" Kashyap Boomi." |
