JKS flays CM for not granting OBC status to Jats | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 26: Jat Kalyan Sabha (JKS) today condemned Chief Minister for granting 5 per cent reservation to Pahari speaking people and not granting OBC status to Jats in J&K. Addressing press conference, here today President JKS, Ch Kamal Singh highlighted the burning problems of the general people and Jat Community in particular residing on border area who are the main sufferers of Pak firing. He condemned the Chief Minister of the state who granted 5% reservation for the Pahari speaking people and ignoring the demand of granting OBC status to Jats of J&K which is a genuine demand pending with the government for the last so many years. Singh said that the State Government has been resorting to step motherly treatment to the Jats of J&K State. "The reluctant attitude shown by the State Government for not recommending/granting OBC status to Jats of J&K proves that there is autocracy and no democracy in the state", he said, asking Chief Minister to work for every section of the society and not discriminate in this regard. "It is very astonishing to see the attitude of the senior leaders of coalition government who have never bothered to visit the people who are victims of Pak firing", Singh said and added that the Chief Minister of the State has no time to enquire the condition of the people who are badly suffering due to Pak firing. |
