J&K Bank inaugurates new premises, conducts DLRC meet | | | Srinagar, Aug 26: J&K Bank today opened new state-of-the-art premises of its Business Unit at Kangan and also conducted District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting at Baramulla. According to press release, the bank's Zonal Head Kashmir (Central) A R Sheigan inaugurated the building in presence of Head B.U Kangan Nissar Ahmad Bhat amid a large gathering of valuable customers and other residents of the area. Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head apprised the participants about various initiatives taken by the bank for the financial empowerment of the people. He thanked the people for their unwavering loyalty with the bank. Soon after the inauguration a customer-meet was organized in the new premises, which was attended among others by representatives of various trade unions. A number of suggestions put forth by some of the participants were discussed threadbare during the meeting and resolved on spot. The customers hailed the bank for proving spacious premises with a magnificent ambiance, which they feel would make their stay at the B.U convenient and comfortable. Earlier, in the past few days, the zonal head had inaugurated Offsite ATM Hafiz Bagh and business unit Gund Hassi Bhat. Meanwhile, J&K Bank organised a District Level Review Committee meeting of Baramulla to review achievements under Annual District Credit Plan 2014-15. District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone chaired the meeting. Lead District Manager, Baramulla informed the house that under District Credit Plan 2014-15, 8418 beneficiaries were benefited and an amount of Rs.179.44 Crore was disbursed among them under various schemes. Under District Credit Plan 2014-15, District has recorded an achievement of 12.00% as on 30th June, 2014, he said. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLRC Farooq Ahmad Lone advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to cooperate and work with coordination to achieve the goals and targets of development besides generation of employment for unemployed youth of the district. The house was informed that under Priority Sector Advances the District has achieved (YoY) growth of 21%, while as the agriculture sector advances have witnessed (YoY) growth of 44%. Meanwhile, under Financial Inclusion Plan -II the Banks have covered 315 villages thereby covering 74953 households. |
