SRINAGAR, Aug 26: As the assembly elections are approaching National Conference Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his coterie is everyday mocking with opposition parties to create confusion. Out of frustration National Conference senior leader and Minister of Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar on Tuesday alleged PDP of being involved in the stone pelting incidents in Kashmir. The remarks came on the second day of the autumn session of the legislature, when PDP members rose to their feet and demanded suspension of the question hour and a ruling from the speaker on their motion. The senior NC leader alleged that PDP's only agenda has been to weaken the state government."Your party workers are involved in the stone pelting and cases are registered against them," Sagar shouted at PDP members. PDP had moved an adjournment motion in the house for a discussion on 6000 youth booked under different cases since 2010 and their general amnesty. During the uproar, opposition PDP and the ruling party members attacked each other. Meanwhile talking to Early Times, PDP chief spokesman Nayeem Akhtar said that National Conference is responsible for branding Kashmiri youth as stone pelters.
"Omar Abdullah himself has said twice on the floor of Assembly that the youth will be given general amnesty, now they are creating a drama. They have branded every Kashmiri a stone pelter and pushed a generation to become rebels, it's up to their will to impose curfew and turn homes into jail," Nayeem said.Nayeem held that if all the youth belong to PDP, then Omar should step down as it means a referendum against his government. When asked that NC alleges PDP's only agenda has been to weaken the state government. Nayeem said, "NC doesn't need any weakling, they are already weak. They have now reduced to eleven percent of popular hope. They are already dead, what now needs is their burial."
