BGSBF rues Rajouri-Thannamandi dilapidated road | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 26: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah Foundation (BGSBF) Chairman, Mohammad Bashir Chowdhary on Tuesday expressed concern over dilapidated condition of Rajouri-Thanamandi road. According to press release, Mohd Bashir Chowdhary said that the devotees heading to the ancient shrine of Hazrat Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah have been facing hurdles due to bumpy ride. He said that the visitors thronging to this revered place perhaps never want to visit the area probably using the road section again, keeping in view worst condition of road. He further said that the government has upgraded the road to National Highway double lane specification upto the width of 15 meters and construction work was entrusted to GREF (BRO), which has failed to take proper action. "BRO placed the indent to the administration for acquisition of land vide their letter No: 2004/Raj-Thann -amandi /F-150/08/E2L A on 18th of February, 2014. The Joint verification of the said road was ordered by the administration through their office No: Coll/Def/730-36 dated: 28-02-2014. But despite the lapse of so many months and keeping in mind the worst condition of road the widening of the Rajouri-Thanna Mandi road has not been started till date", he said. |
