Jammu, Aug 26: In order to intensify the struggle and put pressure on the Government future course of action the state level meeting of State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) was held in Srinagar to discuss the future strategy and decided to take out a Torch (Mashaal) rally towards Chief Minister residence to get attention of the state government towards the demands of employees on Sept 10. During the meeting the office bearers tanked the rank and file of the SGEJAC who participated in one day demonstration at Press Enclave Srinagar on this 20. They also criticized the government for maintaining criminal silence over the demands being agitated by the employees for the past quite some time. Thereafter addressing media persons Senior leaders of the SGEJAC namely Sushil Sudan, Subhash Verma, Aijaj Khan, Babu Hussain Malik, K C Dubey, Bharat Bushan, Vinod Sharma, Ishtiaq Beig, Mohd Farooq, Vijay Gu pta, Yash Pal Magotra, Jarnail Khokha, Sewa Singh Rathor, and others announced that on 10/9/2014 a Mashaal Rally will be taken out from Jammu Press Club and Press Enclave Srinagar for its onward march to the residence of the Chief Minister. Speakers reiterated their demands for consideration as: regularization of daily wagers, adhoc, contractual and consolidated workers, removal of pay anomalies of clerical and other cadres, payment of balance 6th Pay Commission arrears in cash, release of 10% DA, Implementation of Defined Pension scheme, and budgetary support to the PSUs, mediclaim policy in favour of non gazette d employees of Govt./PSU/autonomous bodies, qualifying service for pension at par with centre, increase in the medical allowance to Rs. 1000/-per month and daily wages to Rs 300/per day and etc. Speakers urged the cadre to remain united and cautioned them against vested interest elements those are hell bent to sabotage the struggle of employees. |
