BJP dipped to 10% low in Assembly after LS boom | | | Mishu Gupta
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 28: While Bhartiya Janta Party rode the Modi wave in Jammu and Kashmir and clinched 25 seats from Jammu showing up a courageous front, the ground reality otherwise shows a dip in the popularity of the party after its Lok Sabha's mandate to an astonishing 10% low.
The 23% vote share in Jammu and Kashmir general elections is far less than what the party was able to garner in the Lok Sabha elections, obviously showing that the party has stooped low from its earlier performance.
"It is only within the six months' time that the graph of the party has showed decline in the state after the Lok Sabha elections which is a straight hint that saffron m...

JAMMU, Dec 28: The fractured verdict has further complicated the already rather complex political situation in the border and militant-infested Jammu & Kashmir State. The nature of the verdict is such that no political party can form government in the state without compromising its ideology. The PDP, which won 28 seats (25 from Kashmir and three from Jammu), has made it clear that it would seek an alliance only with a political party that endorses its political and developmental agenda. "We want a government where we should be able to deliver on our political and developmental agenda", chief spokesperson of the PDP Nayeem Akhtar on Saturday said, adding that ...

JAMMU, Dec 28: The poll verdict in the politically neglected and economically ignored or discriminated against Jammu province, where the BJP won 25 seats, Congress five, PDP and the NC three each and independent candidates one seat, has not gone down well with those in Kashmir who want New Delhi to quit the state so that they could play communal shots there, persecute the minorities and establish a theocratic dispensation in J&K.
