Srinagar: No first timer from this part of the Kashmir could board weekly Poonch-Rawlakote bus service even if seventy civilians exchanged sides at Line of Control (LoC) from Chakan-Da crossing point on Monday.

Srinagar, June 08: With no let up in snow and rains along the routes to the Amarnath cave shrine, the Board managing the shrine is expected to take a final decision about rescheduling the yatra within three days.
The Shri amarnath shrine Board (SASB) will review the situation and take appropriate decision of the safety and security of pilgrims after the Governor N N Vohra visit the holy cave on June 11, a spokesman of the Board said.
The yatra which was originally scheduled to commence from June seven has already been rescheduled to June 15 due to accumulation of snow at various places enroute to the 3,880 meter high cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas.

The Congress-led UPA and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) filed 13 sets of nomination papers on behalf of Munda on Friday.

Mumbai, June 8: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) absorbed Rs 1,119.40 billion via 1-day reverse repo auctions on Jun. 8, 2009. However, repo auctions remained suspended for the day.
At the auction conducted under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF), apex bank received 46 bids for the 1-day reverse repo auction, which were accepted.
On the previous working day also, i.e. Jun. 5, 2009, RBI absorbed Rs 1,046.80 billion via 41 bids for the 3-days reverse repo auctions. However, repo auctions remained suspended for the day.
The repos and reverse repos are trading at a fixed rate of 4.75% and 3.25% respectively.

Mumbai June 8: Indian equities markets went on a correction mode within about an hour of trading this morning with a key index shedding 116 points from its last closing figure.
The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex, opened at 15,153.21 points, above Friday's close of 15,103.55. About an hour later, it slipped into red to 14,965.2 points, 138.35 points or 0.92 percent lower than Friday's close.
In a pre-trade analysis, stock broking firm Angel Broking had said the Sensex could correct up to 14,979-14,854 points if it traded below the 15,118-mark in the first half hour of trade.
