7/27/2012 12:48:25 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, July 26: Translating what the party leadership ‘desired’  him to follow into action, National Conference MLC Vijay Bakaya today finally moved the privilege motion against PDP MLC Murtaza Khan urging the Secretary of the Legislative Council to take due notice of the matter followed by appropriate action against the latter , contending his privilege as MLC had been breached by the unparliamentary  conduct of Khan during the arguments over Samba land acquisition issue. 7/27/2012 12:47:19 AM

Such is the callousness of both the Board and the State Government that so far more than 100 pilgrims have died during the last one month of Yatra. The deaths prompted Supreme Court of India to take suo moto cognizance of increasing death toll. More Amarnath yatris will die a miserable death
SASB Hails Its Chairman -- II
7/27/2012 12:44:49 AM
Rustam Jammu, July 26: The Central BJP leadership did a right thing by taking up the issue with the Union Home Minister, but it is difficult to say that the authorities in Jammu & Kashmir will do the needful and take all the necessary steps to create the required facilities en-route the Holy Shrine of Baba Amarnathji. This belief stems from the two fundamental factors in the State politics. One is that the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) is headed by someone who has "no interest" in the Amarnath yatra. It bears recalling the NN Vohra took over as State Governor on June 25, 2008 replacing Lt Gen (retd) SK Sinha who had done a commendable job overcoming all the hurdles created by the then...
