JAMMU, Sept 26: Blame game in the Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals started after State Information Commission directed its administration to provide complete information about the appointment of one Shehnaz Anjum, who is said to have been regularized after completing 7 years consolidated/contractual services.
The matter came to light when one Parvez Shera R/o C- 6 Channi Appartments, sector 7,Channi Himmat, knocked the doors of the Commission by filing 2nd appeal in which he alleged inter alia that the information provided to him by the administration of Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals is incomplete as copies of documents, testimonials submitted by Shehnaz Anjum at the time of being appointed on consolidated/contractual basis in the year 2002 and also documents submitted by her at the time of regularization of services including her service book have not been provided to him.
The applicant filed 2nd appeal after he ran pillar to post and got nothing from the 1st appellate authority.

Srinagar, Sept 26: In a major relief to businessmen badly affected by recent floods, the high court today directed insurance companies to pay 95 per cent of insured amount for policies below Rs 25 lakh and 95 per cent for above it.
"We feel that policy in respect of shopkeepers needs to be effectively implemented. Under the caption Stock Losses, it has been contemplated that cases with sum insured is upto 25 (lakhs), then after making 5% deduction towards dead or obsolete stocks is to be considered as basis for settlement," a division bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey said in an 11-page judgement.

Jammu, Sept 26: The Government owned, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Jammu had sent 80 fuel tankers army supply to Leh, without receiving a supply order a month back. Moreover, owing to non-availability of fuel storage, the army authorities have refused to un-load the tankers. The reluctance of the army to unload the tankers has forced more than 160 drivers, co-drivers and conductors to stay in inclement weather for the past one month.
