Omar questions Constitution but finds faults with Kejriwal

Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 16: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah , has questioned the rules followed by former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in introducing Lok Janpal bill, which eventually led to his resignation..
"I don't think he followed the rules. There are rules for taking assent of Lieutenant Governor of Delhi but he didn't deemed it. His popularity was also declining," said Omar Abdullah while talking to reporters in Kashmir.
Omar has himself questioned the constitution and had even bypassed it number of times. The CM had questioned the integrity of the State, which has been established by the Constitution.
The Chief Minister had locked horns with the Army over revoking Armed Forces Special Powers Act, knowing fully that it can't be done unless the assent of Army is given and this has to be done by the Centre, in which the State doesn't have any rule.
"It seems strange that a CM who has openly questioned even the Constitution, is now questioning even the rules to be followed by Kejriwal. The former Delhi CM had the guts to give away the chair. But the Omar is doing so just to remain in office at any cost and that's the biggest difference between the two," said a Cong Minister.
Omar who had even questioned the political acceptability of the Kejriwal saying if his party decides to contest from Kashmir, they (NC) will send him packing.
In retort to Omar, Kejriwal not only hit out at the dynastic policy of the National Conference, had said the fact that Omar is responding to them shows that that AAP is gaining popularity and they will definitely give answer to Omar.
The protest by Kejriwal and his dharna in open at Delhi, even being the Chief Minister, has not only been appreciated by the people in the Kashmir, but has also caught their political imagination.
The difference between actions and deeds of Omar in being Chief Minister for about more than five-year are there open in and people are now making comparison between him and Kejriwal and this is what is making Omar nervous.
