Public service costs a DySP, Rehari walas staged protest
2/17/2014 11:00:00 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 17: When it comes to public service, the individuals opting to come true to their profession face wrath even from the common masses and it become evident from the action of DySP (Prob) who faced protest from rehriwalas when he was trying to clear the encroachments at Talab Khatikan in old city here today.
As they say 'Sab Chalta Hai' in our society, following complains about the congestion in Talab Khatikan locality, the DySP (Prob) DySP RA Mir, faced the music when he tried to clear the so called illegal encroachments in the area. According to sources while the police contingent headed by DySP (ProB) was clearing the encroachment some rehriwalas dared his 'clean Jammu' campaign and staged protest against the said officer.
Probation DySP RA too was taken aback as none from civil society of the locality came to defend the anti encroachment drive against the illegal encroachments that have congested the locality when the protest was staged by the Rehari Walas. Initially protesting rehriwalas staged protest at Talab Khatikan and then marched towards Rajinder Bazaar where they senior police officials pacified them.
Here it needs to mention that inner roads across the walled city have been encroached by the rehari walas tuning into bottlenecks for traffic and posing problems to commuters who become vulnerable to pick pockets and chain snatcher due to heavy rush in these markets.
