TOP STORY OF THE DAY
Blue-eyed Motor Vehicle Inspector holds half a dozen lucrative posts in Transport department
5/20/2019 1:24:58 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, May 14: A blue-eyed Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) is handling over half a dozen lucrative posts in the Transport department. According to the documents in possession of Early Times, a series of orders have been issued in the last over eight months, showering undue-favours on Motor Vehicle Inspector Chander Mohan Sharma. It appears that all the postings of MVI were made as per a seriously weaved script when Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Jammu, allegedly infringed that script by issuing an order posting Chander Mohan Sharma to some other post, same order was vetoed by the higher ups. As per the chronology of the orders, the first was issued on 20/9/2018 placing Inspector Chander Mohan Sharma as Member of Board of Inspection, Goods (Jammu) displacing Rajeev Kumar Kundal. On 16/10/2018, two member Driving Testing Board was constituted for Jammu district for afternoon shift, with Rehana Tabassum, ARTO and Chander Mohan Sharma MVI. After only fortnight, the Driving Testing Board was reconstituted replacing Shafqat Majeed Bhat in place of R...

Bhaderwah killing: NC, PDP lose face
5/19/2019 11:54:07 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, May 19: The May 16 killing of Naeem Shah (52) in Jammu's Bhaderwah, which led to large-scale violence, clashes and attack on the police station in the town, has created an awkward situation for National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party . Both parties had almost held the "cow vigilantes" responsible for the killing of Naeem Shah and made it a big issue. They used the issue to taunt and tarnish the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In fact, they sought to create an impression that "minorities" were unsafe under the Modi regime. However, it was none other than the Jammu & Kashmir Police that came out vehemently denying what it called "the unfounded re...

Exit polls give sleepless nights to PDP
5/19/2019 11:54:00 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, May 19: With various media outlets making their exit polls public on Sunday, worst days appear ahead for PDP because the party, as per latest prediction, is not going get any Lok Sabha seat. As per exit poll, PDP president is going to lose from bastion of her party Anantnag where she is herself contesting. Most of the exit polls have given a big 'zero' to PDP which had formed government with BJP after 2014 fractured assembly verdict. As reported earlier, many senior leaders of PDP are waiting for the outcome of the results to say 'good bye' to the party that has turned into a 'communal outfit' due to communal advisors who are not allowing the party chief to con...
