TOP STORY OF THE DAY
Top guns hold fake PRCs
7/28/2015 12:34:25 AM
Akshay Azad Early Times Report Jammu, July 27: The issue of more than 130 people holding fake Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) is all set to snowball into a major controversy as maximum of them are influential and are counted among top notch people of Jammu. Pertinently, the Jammu and Kashmir government tried its best to put the issue under the carpet soon after the Jammu and Kashmir State Subject Commission (JKSSC) declared that nearly 130 persons, who are residing in posh colonies in Jammu and own property worth crores posses fake PRCs. As the top notch businessmen figured in the list they used their influence and somehow tried to push the matter under the carpet but JKSSC forwarding the list to Revenue Department has opened a Pandora's box, despite the Commission succumbing under the political pressure and not cancelling these PRCs. According to the list which is in possession of Early Times, nearly 130 names figure in the list. LIST The name of persons who were declared as non-state subject by commission include 1. Vijay Jain, C/o Shankar Shah Jewellers, Jain Ba...

Security lapses become evident in light of Dinanagar terror attack
Big question mark over BJP's soft policy towards Pakistan
7/28/2015 12:33:48 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, July 27: Although the Intelligence agencies have maintained a "guarded silence" how terrorists managed to sneak into Punjab border from Pakistan, initial investigation established that security lapses became evident in the light of Dinanagar terror attack which claimed lives of nine people including a senior officer to the level of Superintendent of Police (SP). It was intelligence failure because intelligence agencies have failed to asses that after strengthening of security all long International Border (IB) in Jammu region, terror groups, with the help of Pakistani security agencies, were trying for soft areas to sneak into India side to strike. Defeated parties support Jammu cause
'BJP becomes a Kashmiri party'
7/28/2015 12:33:29 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, July 27: Strange is the politics in Jammu region, which has been at the receiving end since October 1947, notwithstanding the fact that it is superior to Kashmir in every respect, including in terms land area, population, revenue generation and contribution to the process of the state's integration with India. What is strange and mind-boggling is the fact that the winning parties in Jammu region overnight turn Kashmir-centric and in a most shameless manner and their ministers and MLAs join their Kashmiri masters to damage the Jammu cause and harm the general political and economic rights of the people of this region. It is true of the NC legislators from Jammu. I...

7/28/2015 12:33:17 AM
