Jehangir Rashid SRINAGAR, Nov 26: There seems to be no end to the promotion of officials in the Technical Education department without convening Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting. In a latest example five Senior Assistants were promoted as Head Assistants without following the procedure as set out in this respect. Sources told Early Times that Director, Technical Education, Jai Pal Singh regularized five Senior Assistants as Head Assistants vide order no 671 of 2013 dated 04-10-2013 without convening the meeting of the Departmental promotion committee constituted by the Government vide order No 171-Edu (tech) of 2012 dated 15-10-2012. Sources said that Deputy Director, Directorate of Technical Education has been nominated as Member Secretary, DPC.
