Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 30 •Land ghost lands J&K in seething trouble •PDP office attacked, Mangat's residence stoned •Shut down, protests in three districts •Strike extended for three days if land not restores A day after the Governor and Chief Minister almost declared resolution of the crisis emerging out the transfer of forest land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, the problem today further escalated and spread across Jammu region with violent protests and demonstrations. After successful shut down of the day, the parties opposed to the decision of the Governor on surrender of Shrine Board land have extended the call for another 72 hours. If no political development takes place to resolve the issue, Jammu City and many other parts of the region are likely to remain tense for next three days. The protestors said that the strike shall not be called off unless the Governor rescinds his order and restores land to the Shrine Board. Early Times Reporter Jammu | June 30 Amidst sky touching flames of communal fire engulfing Jammu and Kashmir, the Governor NN Vohra has asked the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to prove the numerical strength constitutionally necessary for survival of his government by or before July 7. Early this morning, a confident Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had written to the Governor that he is ready to prove strength whenever the latter decides. He had claimed that he continues to enjoy the majority and can prove it any time.
