New Delhi, Sept 20: US President Joe Biden has been invited to India’s January 26-Republic Day celebrations here in the national capital, the Ambassador of US to India, Eric Garcetti revealed on Wednesday.
Garcetti said the invitation was extended to Biden by PM Modi on the sidelines of the bilateral that took place between the two leaders at the recently concluded G20 Summit.

New Delhi, Sept 20: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Wednesday reduced the qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2023 to be eligible for counselling to zero across all categories.
Candidates who appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2023 exam will now be eligible to participate in the counselling process. “It is for the information to candidates that the qualifying percentile for PG Courses (Medical/ Dental) for NEET PG counselling 2023 has been reduced to ‘zero’ across all categories by MoHFW,” said a notice issued by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate of Health Services, Government of India.

SRINAGAR, Sept 20: The week-long anti-terror operation in the dense forest area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district has concluded, the Army said on Wednesday. At least six people, including an Army Colonel, a Major, a Deputy Superintendent of J&K Police, and a top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, were killed during the week-long operation in the Gadole area of Kokernag. Two decorated Army officers and a police officer were killed in the initial gun battle on September 13.

Srinagar, Sept 20: A man impersonating as a doctor has allegedly examined female patients for the past three days in the Government Lal Ded Hospital in Srinagar.
The impersonator was attending the patients in the highly sensitive labour room of the hospital and mostly prescribing them for ECG, Deputy Superintendent of Hospital Dr Mimoona told the media.
The impersonator has been handed over to the police, she said.
She said that “it is very difficult to see how this fake doctor made his entry to the labour room of the hospital amid heavy rush of patients and attendants”.
