Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Sept 15: The Administrative Council (AC), which met here, under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, approved the implementation of the Second National Judicial Pay Commission in favor of Judicial Officers. Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor; Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, J&K, and Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to e Lieutenant Governor attended the meeting. The implementation of the Second National Judicial Pay Commission (SNJPC) shall benefit those Judicial Officers who, on 01.01.2016, were holding permanent or temporary posts in the Jammu & Kashmir State Subordinate Judiciary, Judicial Officers who have been appointed against any post in the Subordinate Judiciary from 01.01.2016 up to the date of issuance of Jammu & Kashmir Subordinate Judicial (Revised) Pay Rules, 2023 (Implementation of Second National Judicial Pay Commission) and also to those who may be appointed against any such post hereafter. Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 15: Drones have been pressed into service to pinpoint the location of the terrorists who have taken positions in the forest area on a hilly terrain in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said as the operation to flush out the ultras entered the third day on Friday. The terrorists killed four security personnel on Wednesday. “The forces fired mortar shells on the terrain where they believe the terrorists are hiding, based on drone surveillance,” the officials said. Early Times Report Rajouri/Jammu, Sept 15: Flash floods triggered by heavy rains washed away a culvert on the Jammu-Rajouri highway, prompting authorities to divert traffic, officials said on Friday. A temporary culvert on the highway at Rajal Top area in Nowshera was washed away due to heavy rains late Thursday night, they said. Due to this, scores of vehicles were stranded on the highway since this morning, they said. Defence Ministry clears acquisition of military hardware worth Rs 45,000 cr

Agencies New Delhi, Sept 15: The Defence Ministry on Friday cleared procurement of various weapons systems and platforms including Dhruvastra short range air-to-surface missile and 12 Su-30 MKI fighter jets at a cost of around Rs 45,000 crore. A total of nine procurement proposals were approved by the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, officials said. “All these procurements will be made from Indian vendors under Buy (Indian-Indigenously Designed Developed and Manufactured (IDMM)/Buy (Indian) category which will give substantial boost to the Indian defence Industry towards achieving the goal of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’,” the defence ministry said...

Agencies New Delhi, Sept 15: Aditya L1 spacecraft, India’s first space-based mission to study the Sun, during the early hours on Friday, underwent the fourth earth-bound manoeuvre successfully, ISRO said. “The fourth Earth-bound manoeuvre (EBN#4) is performed successfully. ISRO’s ground stations at Mauritius, Bengaluru, SDSC-SHAR and Port Blair tracked the satellite during this operation, while a transportable terminal currently stationed in the Fiji islands for Aditya-L1 will support post-burn operations,” the space agency said in a post on X, a platform formerly known as Twitter.
