Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Sept 13: President of India, Droupadi Murmu today launched the ‘Ayushman Bhav’ Campaign and the ‘Ayushman Bhav’ portal. Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha attended the launch ceremony, virtually, from Raj Bhawan. The event was followed by a UT-level programme organized by the J&K Administration. The Lt Governor expressed his gratitude to the President of India for the launch of the nationwide campaign which aims to saturate critical health care services in every village. The guidance of the President will motivate stakeholders to achieve the target of Health for All, he added. Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13: Security forces have eliminated one more terrorist in an ensuing gunfight on Wednesday in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh, while confirming, said, "The second terrorist has been gunned down in the ensuing encounter in Narlah area of Rajouri district." The gunfight resumed between terrorists and security forces with the first light, following which security forces neutralised the second terrorist. Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 13: Kent, the six-year-old Army dog that was killed saving the life of a soldier during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir, had participated in nine operations before this. The female Labrador-type dog of 21st Army dog unit was killed on Tuesday while trying to save her handler in the Union Territory’s Rajouri district. “Kent was leading a column of soldiers pursuing fleeing terrorists. SI recruitment scam: HC again rejects bail application of accused BSF officer

Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13: The Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has rejected a fresh bail application of a BSF officer, who is alleged to be the main accused in a scam related to recruitment of police sub-inspectors, junior engineers and finance account assistants. Fifty-eight-year-old Karnail Singh, Commandant (Medical) in the Border Security Force (BSF), was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in October last year. The alleged scam led to the cancellation of a list of candidates selected for the posts.
