Discrimination with Jammu under BJP raj
5/14/2016 11:57:58 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, May 14: The BJP, which got a massive mandate from Jammu in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in 2014, has perpetrated one more injustice on the already grossly ignored and discriminated against people of Jammu province. One can catalogue here innumerable instances to prove that the BJP has caused more harm to Jammu than the Kashmiri ruling elite. A reference to just two would be quite in order. One, on February 28, 2015, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced in the Lok Sabha that Jammu will get All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, but the very next day the PDP-BJP coalition Government in J&K announced that it will be established in Kashmir. That day, the PDP and the BJP in a joint press conference in Jammu released the agenda of alliance which said Kashmir will have not only AIIMS but also super specialty hospital. The decision of shifting the sanctioned AIIMS from Jammu to Kashmir shocked the people of Jammu province. And what shocked them all the more was the statement of a BJP leader that "no power can snatch AIIMS from Kashmir and it ...

5/14/2016 11:57:02 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, May 14: Hardliners among the separatists besides the mainstream National Conference leadership have started blaming Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for having sold her "soul" to the RSS. Nobody among the opposition holds Mehbooba responsible for selling PDP's ideology to the BJP. It is so because those who berate Mehbooba Mufti believe that RSS may invite deeper hate from people then if the PDP Chief is blamed for selling her ideas to the BJP. However, senior PDP leaders have denied having sold the party's soul to the RSS or to the BJP. The alliance has been forged in the interests of the state. The RSS is dead for people in Kashmir without any tangible reasons be...

It's not just the separatists, who have unleashed a no-holds-barred campaign against the people of Jammu province, especially ex-soldiers. The so-called mainstream Kashmiri parties have also not lagged behind. They too have joined hands with the separatists. Not just this, the so-called nationalist BJP, which sought and got mandate from Jammu and Ladakh on Jammu-specific and nation-centric slogans, too, have joined the anti-Jammu forces and in a most brazen manner. It is giving overt and covert support to the ongoing anti-Jammu movement in Kashmir. The case in point is the opposition in Kashmir to the pr...
