Jammu, Dec 8: Breaking his long silence, the general secretary of the National Conference, Sheikh Nazir while talking to local English daily said Sher-e-Kashmir did not sign the 1975 accord. However, Nazir did not say what difference it made.
The ailing general secretary, who is known for his anti-India stand, perhaps wants to convey that Sher-e-Kashmir had no role to play in the Indra-Abdullah Accord. If that is the motive then he is deliberately molesting history.
Acting president of the Plebiscite Front, Advocate GN Hagroo in an interview recorded a month before his death said: "Soon after the 1971 war, the home ministry prepared a file which accurately showed Sh...

The first message the magazine wanted to convey to the world was that the Army Chief in Pakistan continues to be the most powerful person even in a country ruled by an elected Government.
Anyone having faith in the true democratic structure and functioning one would treat the country's President and the Prime Minister as the most powerful persons. On the basis of this analogy President Asif Ali...
