Jammu, Feb 16: A day after former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah categorically ruled out any chance of rejoining the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), his former political advisor and ex-close aide-turned-BJP leader Devender Rana exposed his ex-political boss on “relations” with the Saffron Party.

Jammu, Feb 16: Senior BJP leaders reached Delhi to devise a strategy for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Highly placed sources said that during the national executive meeting, J&K-based party leaders will separately meet with the national president JP Nadda, and other senior leaders to devise a strategy for the coming Parliamentary polls.
Sources said that the BJP high command is very particular about increasing its tally of the 2019 elections by winning atleast one Parliamentary seat from Kashmir Valley.

Jammu, Feb 16: Five months after serving show cause notices to eight rebel leaders of the party, BJP on Friday expelled two party leaders of Kashmir Valley for indulging in anti-party activities.
According to a handout issued by the party, on the recommendation of the chairman of the disciplinary committee BJP-JK UT, Manzoor Bhat, and Asif Masoodi have been expelled from the primary membership of the party.
Sources in the party said that both the expelled leaders were disobeying the directions of the party leadership and were involved in organizing parallel functions.

Ayodhya’s Ram temple will remain closed for an hour in the afternoon every day from Friday onwards, the chief priest of the Ram temple said here.

JAMMU, Feb 16: “Army troops guarding the Line of Control (LoC) on February 16 opened fire to bring down Pakistani quadcopters at two different places in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district,” officials said.
“However, the flying objects returned to the Pakistan side after briefly hovering over the Indian territory in Balnoi-Mendhar and Gulpur sectors,” they said.
They said a search operation was launched in both the sectors to ensure there was no dropping of weapons or narcotics by the quadcopters. Srinagar, Feb 16: A fire incident damaged the residential quarter building at the Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) hostel in Srinagar on Friday, officials said.
The fire broke out at around 9 a.m. in the upper story of the double-story residential quarters at MLA Hostel on Moulana Azad Road, causing extensive damage to the property, Fire and Emergency Service officials said.
A chinar tree and a wooden structure were also damaged in the fire incident.
The fire tenders were rushed to the spot from the nearby fire stations to bring the fire under control.
