Srinagar, Apr 21- The ruling National Conference has gone into `crises management mood’ as Dr Mustafa Kamal, party candidate for Hazratbal assembly constituency, is facing the threat of rejection of nomination papers for want of requisite formalities. The constituency will go for bye-polls on May 7 along with parliamentary elections for Srinagar constituency.
Well informed sources said that Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, the real brother of NC patron and former chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, was found short of requisite authority letter from his party, which attracts the provision for disqualification provided in the Representation of Peoples Act.
Preferring anonymity, sources said that when the nomination papers for all the candidate for Hazratbal constituency were opened for scrutiny by the Returning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Shahnawaz Bukhari, on Monday, some of the candidates pointed out that Kamal was not having the authority letter accompanying the nomination form.

Jammu, Apr 21- Political parties made determined last-minute attempts to woo voters as campaigning for the second round of the five phased Lok Sabha and By-election assembly segment of Bhaderwah in Jammu region came to an end today.
Reports said that apart from the fourteen candidates, who are in fray for the parliamentary constituency; leaders of all the major political parties were seen campaigning in favour of their respective party candidate.

Jammu, Apr 21- One bus passenger died while 25 others traveling in a Punjab State Road Transport bus service were injured in a road accident near Chadwal on Jammu-Pathankot national highway on Tuesday.
The ill fated bus on way from Amritsar to Jammu fell below the bridge early morning when driver failed to control the bus while it was crossing Chadwal Bridge.
Bus conductor died on the spot while several others injured in the accident were rushed to Hiranagar hospital. Other seriously injured were shifted to GMC Jammu for specialized medical treatment.

Srinagar: While only twelve first-timers made it to Pakistan administered Kashmir, PaK on last seven occasions, as many as forty citizens from Jammu boarded the weekly Poonch-Rawlakote bus service via Chakan-da-Bagh crossing point along the line of control in Jammu region, official sources told PBI on Tuesday. They said that a total of 103 persons crossed sides at the crossing point in Poonch district.
