SRINAGAR, July 2: In a bid to keep himself afloat after coming Assembly elections Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is trying hard to convince the people that National Conference is not the creation of 'agencies'.

In the National Conference rallies at Ramban held yesterday, Omar was seen trying to convince the people that National Conference is not the creation of the agencies. He also claimed that the people of the state are the source of power for the party.

JAMMU, July 2: It is manifestly clear that the NC, which has been ruling the state since January 2009 and which suffered a massive defeat in the Lok Sabha election, has not learned any lesson from the past mistakes and that if it doesn't recognize the ground realities as they exist in J&K, it would suffer yet another humiliating defeat in the Assembly elections due in the next few months. That it has refused to appreciate the reasons which led to its ignominious defeat in May last and that it continues to tread a dangerous path became profoundly clear on Monday and Tuesday, when Mustafa Kamaal and his nephew and J&K CM Omar Abdullah made almost identical statements from two different ...
| | | | And now, Shankracharya demands abrogation of Article 370 | | Debate | | | Rustam
JAMMU, July 2: Article 370, which accords a separate status to J&K on purely sectarian grounds, is the most controversial provision in the Indian Constitution. It was adopted in October 1949 and enforced in 1950 at the behest of the communal leadership in Kashmir. In fact, Article 370 was nothing but a conspiracy that was hatched by the Congress and the National Conference against India and the minorities in J&K. Ever since then, a fierce debate has been going on anti-people and anti-democratic provision in various circles with some supporting it and some demanding its repeal.
It is too well-known that the NC and similar other Kashmir-based parties, including the JKLF and the CPI-M...
