Shocking: Mehbooba points finger on judiciary after Parra's bail rejected

Early Times Report jammu, Feb 24: 'Frustrated' over rejection of bail application of her close-aide Waheed Parra, former chief minister and president of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) president pointed finger towards judicial system of the country. "Worrying trend that bail is no more the rule but an exception & an accused is assumed to be guilty without proof. Current state of affairs is such that under trials are jailed for months & even years languishing behind bars before charges are proven", she tweeted from her official twitter handle while expressing her anguish over denial of bail of her party's youth wing president Waheed Parra. Trying of compare Parra's case with that of Disha Ravi, Mehboba tweeted, "The Delhi Court's judgment in Disha Ravi's case yesterday that mere allegations don't amount to a crime is in stark contrast with Special Court's decision to reject Waheed's bail purely on the basis of accusations without evidence". Early Times Report jammu, Feb 24: The failure of the erstwhile PDP led government to recover loans from various corporations and other entities resulted into the non realisation of whooping Rs 843 crore. Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation, Srinagar Development Authority and several other institutions emerged as major defaulters in the entire process. Documents in possession of Early Times reveal that the total outstanding loans registered in J&K increased from Rs 1,409.83 crore to Rs 1,660.86 crore during the period 2013-14 to 2017-18. No fresh case was reported from eight districts with no death being reported in the past 24 hours or so. People above 60 years of age to get vaccine shots from March 1, says Centre

agencies new delhi, Feb 24: The Centre on Wednesday announced that people above 60 years of age will get the COVID-19 vaccine shots from March 1. The Centre also informed that people above 45 years of age with comorbidities will also be vaccinated from the same date. "From March 1, people above 60 years of age and those above 45 years of age with comorbidities will be vaccinated at 10,000 government and over 20,000 private vaccination centres," said the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
