JAMMU, Jan 13: Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) would be left with just three members including Chairman Shiban Lal Bhat by the end of next month i.e. February 2014.
Presently, the commission has four members including the Chairman. Ex-Secretary Higher Education Khazir Mohammad Wani, who was appointed as member of the commission on February 14, 2009 by Governor N.N. Vohra would complete stipulated five year term on February 14, 2014. JAMMU, Jan 13: As the Lok Sabha elections are round the corner, the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Jammu and Kashmir is still busy in collecting the revised electoral roll.
As the Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath has said in Washington on Sunday that the Election Commission (EC) had already started preparations for the 2014 elections in which 780 million people are likely to cast their votes at over 800,000 polling booths, using over 1.18 million electronic voting machines and the phases will be started from mid March 2014, the CEO Jammu and Kashmir should have been prepared with the revised list of the voters.

Srinagar, Jan13: An explosive went off in Police Station Shergari today morning in which two labourers got injured, however, the blast is believed to have been accidental and the authorities rule out any militant act.
Two labourers were injured in an accidental blast in police station Shergari building, which is being dismantled for construction of a flyover from Jehangir Chowk to Rambagh on Srinagar airport road.
