JAMMU, Nov 6: In gross violation of transfer policy, a professor has been holding the post of Director for the last more than 10 years, in the department, portfolio of which is being held by none other than the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
The undue stay of the official in the said department has also been raising many eyebrows for the last many years but it seems that the CM though aware of the gross violation is not interested in setting things right.
Documents in possession of Early Times reveal that a blue eyed Associate Professor from Institute of Management and Public Administration (IMPA) Dr M I Parray has been serving Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) as Director for more than 10 years.
"On December 9, 2003 Dr Parray had relieved from IMPA Srinagar and joined JKEDI as director on deputation basis but on July 7, 2005 Principal Secretary to Government, Industries and Commerce department issued order for permanent absorption of Dr M I Parray as Director JKEDI", sources said, adding that since then, he has been serving the institu...

| | | | CM's statements on J&K costing NC very dearly | | Double-talk | | | Neha
JAMMU, Nov 6: The ruling National Conference (NC) is in a difficult situation and losing people's confidence at an alarming speed. What has been adding to the difficulties of the NC is the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's double-talk. In Kashmir, he unsuccessfully tries to retrieve the political space lost to the PDP by speaking the language of separatists or taking recourse to soft-secessionism. The moment he makes any statement on Jammu & Kashmir and puts forth solution to the so-called Kashmir problem, the Kashmiri separatists up the ante and reject outrightly his formulations on Jammu & Kashmir. They also charge Omar Abdullah and the NC with bartering their "ideology" to...

| | | | Pressure building slogan of Cong fails to muse PR members | | Rahul playing 'rhetoric' game with renewed 'theatrics'........! | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 6: Even as Congress has given an impression that it would start and continue to build pressure on National Conference to get what it has been contending for over two years -incorporating provisions of 73rd constitutional amendment in the J&K state Panchayati Act, there are few takers for this avowed commitment for the larger cause of empowerment of Panches and Sarpanches in the state. Not only are its rivals and opposition in general viewing it as renewed mode of 'theatrics' by the Congress , but the PR representatives who take pride in siding with the party feel foul now, given the fact that party leadership has been saying and assuring so umpteenth number o...
