Jammu, Feb 17: Underplaying the element of dissent expressed by former state Chief Minister and now Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on ‘surrender policy’ the visiting Home Minister P Chidambram today vouched for Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s proposal and assured that every aspect and concern will be factored in before putting the policy in practical shape.
The Home Minister who was in town to review latest obtaining security scenario outlined the broad contours of proposed amnesty for the youth who crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir at different points of time in past two decades. NEW DELHI, FEB 17: Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has warned against touts approaching various controlling bodies for medical learning to seek recognition for new medical and dental colleges.
Sources say that the Minister took this exception after reports that certain persons who called themselves close to him have been approaching medical and dental councils to oblige new private colleges imparting medical education.
According to sources, Azad wrote a letter a few days ago saying that he never authorised any person to facilitate recognition or any other clearance for medical or dental colleges from any governing or controlling body for medical education.

Srinagar, Feb 17: The Chief Judicial Magistrate today allowed bail petition of 11 accused named in the CBI charge sheet for “destroying evidence” in Shopian twin rape and murder case.
The president High Court Bar Association, Mian Abdul Qayoom appeared for the accused. Allowing the bail petition, the court urged the accused to submit bail bonds to the tune of RS 10000 each. The case has been fixed for hearing on April 17.
The accused include lawyers of Shopian Bar, doctors and relatives of the victims. Later the relatives of victims staged a dharna in the Press Enclave and demanded `justice’.
