| Infiltration from across picks up, hundreds waiting on launching pads | | | | Early Times Reporter

With the assistance of professional guides, agencies across the border have already succeeded in pushing into Jammu and Kashmir more than five groups of militants, each group comprising about 20 youth equipped with highly sophisticated weapons, in recent days.
Official sources confirmed today that most of the groups sneaked into the Kashmir valley from across Kupwara and Bandipore sectors. In addition to this, several hundred militants had been brought on the launching pads across Poonch, Rajouri, Tangdhar, Gurez, Bandipore and Kupwara sectors awaiting signals from their guides for infiltrating into Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said that those militant groups already operating in Jammu and Kashmir and those being pushed into the state have been asked to lie low for another three to four months so that they were ready to give teeth to the ongoing Jehad by disrupting the ensuing Assembly poll. The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a law which provides for 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Castes (OBCs) in educational institutions supported by the Central government.
A five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice KG Balakrishnan ruled that the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2006, does not violate the basic structure of the Constitution.
The court ruled the 93rd Constitutional Amendment Act, which was the basis of the law providing 27 per cent reservation in aided institutions, didn’t violate the basic structure of the Constitution.

Navratra festival is in full swing these days. In Jammu and Kashmir, there is huge rush of devotees to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, located in Trikuta Hills of Jammu. During these days almost everyday about 25,000 devotees pay their regards at the Holy Shrine.
So far over one lakh devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi have visited the Holy Shrine and this includes 52 Hindu Devotees from Pakistan also.

Jammu, Apr10- A high level team of 22 secretaries/joint secretaries from the Centre will arrive here tomorrow to review the progress on the implementation of central projects in Jammu and Kashmir under Prime Minister's Reconstruction Programme (PMRP).
