| School bus rolls down 18 kids injured | | | | Early Times Reporter

In a tragic road accident, caused due to negligence of driver of a private school bus of Presentation Convent School, 18 school children were injured, two of them critically on circular road near Peer kho temple on Monday morning in Jammu.
The driver of the mini bus in which the school children were traveling lost balance and failed to control the vehicle as it skidded off the road near Peer kho temple on the circular road.
The mini bus rolled down over 70 feet deep hill. Eyewitness reports said, the driver of the bus made an attempt to start the bus in reverse direction and suddenly lost control pushing the bus deep down the hill near Peer kho steps.
School children injured in the accident raised hue and cry and alerted morning walkers in the vicinity. Soon after police teams from nearby police station and local residents reached the spot and shifted the injured to the government medical college, Jammu.Large number of parents also rushed to the medical college to inquire about the well being of school children.

Grappling with an increasing number of suicides and fratricides among its troopers, the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has now turned to yoga guru Baba Ramdev for help.
"The rise in suicides and killings is alarming. So, we have now decided to send 800 of our personnel to Baba Ramdev's camp in Haridwar to learn yoga. This would help them de-stress," CRPF Director General V.K. Joshi told IANS.
The troopers will head to the yoga guru's ashram next month.
"These personnel, after training, would later teach yoga to their colleagues so that everyone can benefit," Joshi said.

Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday arrested 111 persons including 13 officials of the revenue department on the charges of fraudulently transferring 50 hectares of state land worth crores of rupees to beneficiaries in the early eighties.
While eight revenue officials were arrested for allegedly transferring 33 hectares of state land in the posh Rawalpora, Humhama and Peer Bagh areas of the city to beneficiaries five other officials of the same department were arrested for allegedly transferring 17 hectares of state land at Nadergund and Humhama, a police spokesman said.

Five months after the forest rights act came into force, the government is yet to receive any information from the states regarding its implementation, the Rajya Sabha was informed on Monday.
