As if Kuldeep Kumar Verma’s martyrdom was not enough to force the government for reconsidering its decision hurting sentiments of Hindus, yet another youth today offered his life’s sacrifice on Shri Amarnath Shrine land issue.
Kuljeet Singh Choudhary, in his 20s, consumed poison while on a sit-in to protest the revocation of the land allocation order in Samba. Choudhary was rushed to a hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical. He has been put on ventilator. News of his suicide bid has further incited the passion but the local administration is tightlipped on the issue.

With as many as 19 violations of the Line of Control (LoC) recorded since January this year, India on Tuesday told Pakistan to respect the 2003 ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
"The increase in ceasefire violations and firings across the LoC is a matter of concern to India," Defence Minister A K Antony said in a statement, a day after Army troops repulsed a Pakistani incursion in the Nowgam sector of northern Kashmir, which left one Indian soldier dead.
